These paints tend to have minimal price, performance, and aesthetic difference from “normal” paints yet are far friendlier to both you and your environment.

Pristine EcoSpec is Benjamin Moore’s greenest product. Available in semi-gloss, interior latex eggshell enamel, or interior latex flat finishes, it contains less than ten grams of VOCs per liter( to qualify for low VOC a paint must have less than 200 grams per liter.

Paints with less than half a gram of VOCs per liter, such as this one qualify as zero VOC according to the EPA’s standards. Harmony’s primer, flat, eggshell and semi-gloss variations are almost odorless and dry overnight.

With only 50 color variations these solvent free wall paints and oil enamel paints, are all concocted from such things as citrus peel extracts, seed oils, tree resins, beeswax and natural pigments. The cost of these is slightly higher.
